FORGING ETHICS
A way of doing business that makes excellence the standard
The SIFCOR Group is committed to ensuring that its conduct is as exemplary as the metals used in its forges. Beyond regulatory compliance, its way of doing business is reflected in the implementation of principles of humanity and responsibility that go beyond the standard.
Three priorities support this commitment: promoting CSR internally, advancing Human Rights and ethics, and reporting on progress.
PRIORITY #1
Promoting CSR through the Group’s culture and organization
Raising awareness among 100% of SIFCOR employees of the Group’s sustainable development challenges by 2027 is part of the company’s voluntary commitment to securing internal support for its CSR commitments. The creation of a CSR committee, the appointment of a site representative and the definition of local roadmaps are the means used to foster a culture of responsibility forged in steel.
Gold-standard performance
The CSR performance of Forges de
Courcelles has once again been confirmed
by an Ecovadis Gold Medal in 2024:
a global standard based on 21 sustainability
criteria.
“In a context of accelerated transition, decarbonization is no longer an option. Our
conviction is that it is possible to reduce the carbon footprint while preserving the
economic performance and financial balance of the entire value chain.”
ANIS FARHANI,
GROUP CFO
PRIORITY #2
Human Rights and ethics at the heart of our practices
The integrity of the SIFCOR Group’s way of doing business is just as important as the integrity of its production. Because women and men are its primary source of energy, the company is developing more responsible purchasing practices to better prevent risks and ensure respect for Human Rights throughout its supply chain. This commitment is reflected in particular in a Code of Ethics, which defines the principles and rules of conduct applicable to all Group employees and partners. Raising awareness and training teams on the right behaviors to adopt toward all stakeholders support this approach.
More responsible purchasing
Local subcontracting is preferred within a 150 km radius of the SIFCOR Group’s sites.
PRIORITY #3
Reporting on progress and areas for improvement
Information is like the transmissions shaped by the SIFCOR Group: an essential element! Regular and transparent communication on the company’s progress and obstacles in terms of CSR supports its drive for improvement and its commitment to transparency.
FORGING A BETTER IMPACT
In a changing market, SIFCOR’s CSR engine is accelerating the resilience of the Group and the forging industry. Every component produced is designed to drive the business forward while advancing the company’s commitments.
