Industrial Forging in the Service of Mechanical Engineering
SIFCOR is a leading industrial forge, specializing in the design and manufacture of forged parts for the mechanical engineering sector and other fields such as rail, defense, energy, aerospace, and leisure. Thanks to our state-of-the-art equipment and metallurgical expertise, we produce parts with varied and complex geometries, capable of withstanding high mechanical stress and harsh environments. Our industrial flexibility allows us to adapt to highly variable batch sizes, offering our customers tailor-made and innovative solutions. Committed to a socially and environmentally responsible approach, we hold CSRD Group and ECOVADIS Gold certifications, attesting to our commitment to quality and sustainability.
Forging Expertise for Innovative Solutions
Co-design and technical alternatives to optimize customer designs
SIFCOR has co-design expertise to improve and simplify our customers’ designs, both in terms of design and materials. We offer technical alternatives to replace other techniques such as welding, casting, or sintering with forging when mechanical constraints require it. We support our customers from co-design to the manufacture of prototypes by 3D printing, through to pre-series production on our mass production equipment. Our CSRD Group approach, validated by an ECOVADIS Gold certification, demonstrates our commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
Evolution of the Mechanical Engineering Sector and Diverse Applications
Growing demand for forged solutions for complex and varied applications
The mechanical engineering sector and other applications, such as rail, defense, energy, aerospace, and leisure, require highly varied geometries and cover a very broad range of uses, with complex shapes, high mechanical stress, and harsh environments. Customers are looking for technical support and guidance to develop innovative solutions, while also needing the ability to adapt to highly variable batch sizes. The market is experiencing structural growth of 6% per year, driven in particular by the rise of cycling in Europe, where 12 million bicycles are purchased each year. The average purchase price has risen from €600 to €2,000, reflecting the shift from leisure cycling to bicycles used for commuting.
