Tooling Team Leader

Discover his career path

I have been working at Forges de Courcelles since June 1985. In response to my unsolicited application, I was offered a position in the Finishing Workshop. I did not expect to join such a large company, where real opportunities for career growth exist.

In the Finishing Workshop, I was in charge of grinding, descaling, and calibrating parts. In 1986, I had the opportunity to join the Tooling Workshop as an Inspector. Then, in 2012, I moved up to the position of Team Leader. My commitment and my desire to always give my best have allowed me to progress over the years. Every challenge I have taken on has helped me grow and go further. Today, I am responsible for short-term production monitoring. What I particularly enjoy is gathering technical information directly from the managers in the forging workshops: it helps me better understand the processes and expand my knowledge.

My greatest pride is precisely my career path: starting in the company as an operator and becoming a manager. It is very rewarding to see one’s commitment recognized and to measure the impact of one’s work over time.

To someone joining the company today and hoping to grow, I would advise always listening to feedback, from those who supervise us and from those we work with every day. The observations of one’s peers are a real opportunity to learn and improve.

If I had to describe Forges de Courcelles in a few words, I would say it is a company rooted in innovation and industrial excellence. Commitment and collaboration are at the heart of every project, always with a focus on quality and performance.
